You have someone who cleans your room. You have breakfast, lunch and dinner prepared for you. At night you get to socialise with your friends. You don’t have to worry about which kids done what to who. About doing the dishes or seeing to school. You get it easy.

Yes I am ashamed to admit these are all things I used to think. I had this idea that Mr FIFO was leaving his home & us, to relax and be pampered at his site. I thought how lucky he was that every few weeks he got a mini holiday whilst I was at home with the kids.

Boy was I wrong…

A few years ago Mr FIFO was working a DIDO (drive in, drive out) roster. He would drive two hours from our home to his camp every Friday after dusk and back again every Monday before dawn.
